We are Elfa Distrelec: A leading European distributor

Founded in 1945 in Sweden, the company began operating as Elfa – “Ingenjörsfirman Elfa". The company slogan was “Allt mellan antenn och jord” (“Everything between antenna and earth”). The first Elfa catalogue came out a year later, in 1946.

In the 1950s, the company changed its name to ELFA Radio and Television and started the sale of a TV DIY kit. This laid the foundation for the company’s continued expansion and establishment as an electronics distributor.

Elfa was one of the first companies in the industry to have a website. The Elfa product catalogue was already made available online in 1997.

In 2008, Elfa became a part of the Distrelec Group, and since then we have operated under the Elfa Distrelec brand.
